End grain headboards have many options.

 

For this one we used hand hewn rafters from a small agricultural building to create “tiles”. They are attached to plywood we painted black. The voids between the tiles are not filled.

We can also use square or rectangular tiles of various wood species. Check out a couple other options in our gallery.

 

Customization like grouting, patterns, etc. may also be available.
